Heyy! Welcome to my little about me page, where you can learn a little more about…well, me! My name’s Lois Lapchan, I’m thirty-odd years young, and this blog is where I share my passion for homemaking.
I used to work as an estate agent, and did so for nearly a decade. It was a great job, and I loved it, but over time a side passion of mine became my full time work. You see, I had begun taking photos for homes we were selling, but over time I became more focused on the photos themselves than selling the properties.
Whilst I enjoy taking photos of other things, there’s just something wonderful about finding a way to show a home at its best to the world. A lot goes into taking pictures of these spaces, after all, from interior design to lighting work, and sometimes a lot more on top!
So, a few years ago I decided to take a leap of faith, quit my job and focus full time on this passion. I’ve slowly been adding more and more into my skillset, with photography a part of a new business plan involving home design and deco. In this time I’ve learned a lot about what goes into all these aspects, and now I hope to share it with the world.
That’s why I named the site Photos For Homes. I wanted to put these things I’ve learned through taking these photos and the like up for the world to see, so that hopefully it could help someone else!
